Cameron Diaz flashed her mega-watt grin Saturday while hanging out with her import/export agent mother Billie in Seal Beach located seven miles from her Long Beach hometown. 
The four-time Golden Globe nominee – who turns 45 this Wednesday – was carrying an empty glass bottle as she bonded with the 67-year-old widow (born Early), whose husband Emilio passed in 2008.
The NY Times bestselling author let her natural beauty shine through on the Orange County outing – wearing a grey T-shirt, white knee-length skirt, and plastic shower slides. Cameron’s last public appearance occurred June 10 when she gushed over her husband of two years, Benji Madden, during Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop Wellness Summit. ‘We are both just weird enough for each other,’ Diaz said during the Balls in the Air panel – captured by USA Today’s Andrea Mandell.
‘I have a husband who is just my partner in life and in everything. Talk about two very different people! We are so different from one another, but we share the same values – we’re totally two peas in a pod.’ On Tuesday, the 38-year-old guitarist’s pop punk band Good Charlotte with twin brother Joel dropped their WAR music video off their sixth studio album Youth Authority.
Perhaps Cameron will join the Voice Australia coach when GC headlines Warped Rewind At Sea (October 28–November 1) cruising New Orleans to the Mexican isle Cozumel.
The There’s Something About Mary alum – who previously romanced the Justin Timberlake and Jared Leto – spent much of 2016 promoting her second book, the 272-page wellness tome Longevity. But Diaz hasn’t acted since her dismally-reviewed roles in Annie, Sex Tape, and The Other Woman – which still managed to gross a combined $456.6M at the box office in 2014.
‘I just went, “I can’t really say who I am, to myself,” which is a hard thing to face up to,’ the effervescent blonde explained.
‘I can’t do the same things I’ve been doing for two decades if I want to have a full life. I felt the need to make myself whole, really, and I felt like what I was doing with my life, I knew how to do very well. I’d been doing it for decades and it was easy for me to keep busy, keep all the balls up in the air.’
