Cameron Diaz’s hit comedy Bad Teacher is getting a sequel. Sony Pictures has given Bad Teacher 2 the green light.

Filmmaker Jake Kasdan, who took charge of the 2011 movie, will return to direct the follow-up, although it is not yet known if Diaz will reprise her role as an alcoholic, drug-taking school teacher for the second installment.

The original release, starring Jason Segel and Diaz’s ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake as the actress’ geeky onscreen crush, grossed $216 million worldwide and has since inspired a TV sitcom based on the film. (Source)
