According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox has moved its summer blockbuster Knight and Day up two days from a June 25 release to a Wednesday, June 23 release. That means that the movie – starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz – is now set to hit multiplexes midweek ahead of the June 25 weekend. Sony opens PG-13 comedy Grown Ups on June 25.
“It gives us a little bit of a jump on the weekend and the opportunity to get word-of-mouth going,” Fox domestic distribution president Bruce Snyder told the site. “We want to let people know how wonderful this picture is.”
Great news! Not only does the studio really believe in the movie (it seems to be awesome), but we’ll get to see it earlier than expected!
