Great news, y’all! Cameron Diaz is featured on yet another cover, this time for Cosmopolitan UK! She looks great (if a bit too photoshopped) and very Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle-esque as she poses for the cover (seen to the right). People.com has some interesting tidbits from the interview to share. Continue reading for those. And don’t forget to keep checking back to Cameron-Diaz.org for scans from the magazine!
“I never say never. I don’t know what’s going to happen,” the single star, 36, tells Cosmopolitan’s U.K. edition. “I could end up adopting half a dozen kids, or I could end up being the next ‘octomum’ – who fricking knows!â€
But she says society expects women to procreate. “I think women are afraid to say that they don’t want children because they’re going to get shunned,” she tells the magazine in its July issue. “But I think that’s changing too now. I have more girlfriends who don’t have kids than those that do. And honestly? We don’t need any more kids. We have plenty of people on this planet.”
Diaz, who has reportedly split from Brit model-actor Paul Sculfor, has certain qualities she looks for in a partner. For instance, she wants a guy “who knows who he is. Someone who understands himself, has already dealt with his issues and who can say, ‘I see where I’ve been foolish before and I’m not going to be like that again.’ ”
Diaz – who spoke to the magazine to promote her new movie My Sister’s Keeper – is relaxed about the near-constant of analysis of her love life, saying of the stories that appear regularly: “It’s an escape; a soap opera.”
Adds the star, who previously had a longterm relationship with Justin Timberlake, “One week I’m with this person, the next were back together. I’m like ‘Who cares who I’m doing?’ ”
Diaz, who has been a pin-up since her days as a model at age 16, says she wouldn’t use Botox. “We’re not airbrushed in real life. Our faces need to move!” And she clearly doesn’t hold back when faced with that classic British meal – high tea. “I slather the cream on, and I always ask for more. And even when they bring it, I’m like, ‘No I mean more.'”
As for how she’s reacted to the death of her father Emilio, 58, who died from pneumonia in April 2008, she says the period since then “has been totally transformative. I’m a completely different person, 100 percent.”
